Building Academic Integrity Bridges

In 2025, come and help us Build Academic Integrity Bridges among colleagues and institutions! The Canadian Symposium on Academic Integrity is an opportunity to  share our experiences, knowledge, and solutions, and create stronger foundations, supports, and networks for academic integrity. 

We look forward to having you hear our keynote speakers and presentations from leaders in the academic integrity space.  Network, converse, participate, and help be part of the solutions!

Streams

For this year’s Canadian Symposium on Academic Integrity, five conference streams have been developed.

Academic Integrity Research

i.e.) Recently published or ongoing research on academic integrity issues

Impact of Technology on Academic Integrity

i.e.) Impacts from artificial intelligence (resistance and adoption); student study websites; use of technology in exam cheating; etc.

Administrative Responses to Academic Integrity

i.e.) Governance and policy matters; Academic Integrity Offices; misconduct investigations and appeals; etc.

Mentorship and Training Activities for Students and Faculty

i.e.) Mentoring faculty on how to promote integrity and report misconduct allegations; student-led academic integrity initiatives; innovations from instructors; creating a culture of integrity on campus; Library Services; building Academic Integrity Communities of Practice; etc.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Decolonization in Academic Integrity

i.e.) Efforts, policies, and programming that foster EDIA principles and decolonize academic integrity

How to Submit Your Presentation

The call for presentations will close on Friday, February 14, 2025.

Presentation proposals are required to be submitted through EasyChair.

Conference proposals may include individual or small-group presentations, panel discussions, or workshops. Sessions should be related to one of the five themes, however proposals outside of these themes may still be submitted.

In addition to your EasyChair submission, you are required to complete a PDF submission form with additional information and upload the document to EasyChair. In the submission form, you will be asked to outline which theme your presentations falls under and your presentation length preference.

  • 30 Minutes – 20 minute presentation + 5 minute Q&A
  • 60 Minutes – 45 minute presentation + 10minute Q&A
  • 90 Minutes – Intended for panel discussions

Those presenting at the symposium are required to attend the symposium in person.

Other Important Information

  • You will be notified the week of February 17, 2025 if your presentation proposal has been accepted
  • When submitting your presentation proposal, please ensure your biography is how you would like it to appear in the conference program
